THG Capital marks 5 years with new Gold Streaming video
To celebrate its fifth year, award-winning THG Capital’s senior staff member, Andrew Fox and their Investment Operator Bullion Bridges Director Steve Burdett, teamed up to make a short film showing the gold-streaming process from start to finish.
The process of gold-streaming has been used to produce high interest returns (currently 9% p.a.) whilst mitigating the risk normally associated with traditional gold investments. Through their YouTube Channel, THG Capital has always shown behind the footage, when possible, of gold trades and any related points in the process. Clients have been enthused by the openness of THG’s footage and enjoyed the subsequent high interest returns generated by THG Capital’s Gold Bonds.
The story starts with Steve Burdett assessing a small 5KG batch of gold Dore (first stage Gold) in The Congo. This batch was chosen for the short clip as it was easy to film, assess and transport to Dubai. After having the gold Dore analysed, it was then priced and contracted for sale post refining before purchase (the process called front and backend pricing which mitigates risk). The gold was then insured and it travelled with Steve to Dubai to complete the process.
Meeting up with Andrew in Dubai, the two men oversaw the refining and sale process and for the first time ever, Andrew actually got to hold the end product being 24 carat gold bullion.
“In my 40 years in finance and the last 6 years creating THG Capital, I have never actually seen or held gold bullion and certainly never expected to hold some from the batch of our own clients’ smelt. To have Steve buy the raw gold in Africa and to witness and document the gold-streaming process first-hand, was a real moment for me personally, as it made everything very real.
Our Gold Bonds deliver high interest rates constantly and almost take it for granted until you have an experience like this, which really brings it home”; Andrew said after completing the short film.
THG Capital have also announced that although interest rates globally are starting to come down, they will be maintaining 9% p.a. through into 2025 and beyond.
